We are learning about 3D shapes in math and today we discovered what 2D shapes can be found in each 3D shape. We used our 3D shapes and play dough for this activity. We took our cube, cone, sphere, and rectangular prism and pushed the end into play dough to see what shape appeared. My kiddos loved the fact that we used play dough! Check it out!
What a great idea! We are starting 3D shapes in two weeks and I will definitely be adding this activity to my plans!
