Monday Math Centers

Before I get to our centers for this week, I am just heartbroken by the Boston Marathon attacks today :(!  My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone involved!  It is such an accomplishment to get to run in that race and so sad that it ended this way.

This week's math centers have us reviewing money!  Some of these activities are from my Money Mania pack!

I gave my kiddos the option to match the coins on the piggy bank, match the correct the amount by using just the number, or BOTH- find the coins and the matching amount!

I created this for my centers this week and added it to my pack right away!  We used a skinny paint brush and a paperclip to make the spinner.  My kiddos spun the spinner, identified the coin, and graphed it!  It took a few tries to get the spinner part down, but they were loving this center!

My kiddos matched the coin, amount, and name with these cards.  For a little more of a challenge, they flipped them up and played like memory!

This is NOT in my pack!  I found these fun puzzles!  Last year my kiddos cut them out and played with them but this year I laminated a few and put them in these centers!

I got these little containers from CVS and was going to use them for dice so they wouldn't go flying, but never ended up doing that.  So I put coins in each box and had my kiddos pick a container, count, and graph what was inside!  It was perfect because each box is different so they could graph up to 4 times if they are fast workers!  This graph I am giving to you for free!  Enjoy!  Click here to grab it!

  1. Love your money centers. Cute ways for students to practice. We don't do a lot of money stuff, but these activities make me want to do more! :)
