Well, day 2 of our sneaky leprechaun has gone better than our first day. Read about our first day here! Here are some pictures from Day 1 and Day 2 of Shamrock the Sneaky Leprechaun!
Day 1-I actually walked into our room and there were random posters that were on the walls on the floor. One of my elementary teachers told me when things fall off the walls that means the weather is changing...I still would like to believe and HOPE that is true.
Anyway, I saw all the stuff on my floor and thought perfect. I took green paint and made "footprints" on the posters. Then, I threw a few blocks on the ground, added a gold coin, and a note! They thought it was the best that the leprechaun left a coin behind on accident after the fear of him went away.
Day 2- My kiddos walk into chairs knocked over. That sneaky leprechaun! They were so cute and put them back right away.
When they made their way to the carpet they saw a folder with St. Patty's day stickers all over it. These stickers we have not seen before, so we knew it was from the leprechaun. Inside there were recording sheets that had the kiddos find letters that the sneaky leprechaun hid all over the room! *Insert kids screaming and cheering.*Everyone walked around the room looking for letters. One of my little ones said maybe it is the leprechaun's name...BRILLIANT! Yes, I had that planned all along... We discovered the letters spelt the word Shamrock! Shamrock it is! I found this activity for FREE here!
Shamrock even climbed up to the window to do a little decorating. Note the green "footprints"! My calendar helper was scared when it was time to pull the shade up and check the weather. I am serious, leprechauns are really not scary! Promise!
Not leprechaun related, but when I clicked onto Google this morning this cute picture popped up. In my head, "I was like OMG cutest Google ever!" Then when I put my mouse over the picture it said, "Happy Birthday Kimberly! " OMG! LOVE IT!!
Cute! I have a leprechaun named Seamus! He brought Lucky Charms, but ate all the marshmallows. He made a tall tower out of chairs and knocked everything off the wall. He always leaves a sprinkle of green glitter!

CUTE!! I am sprinkling some Leprechaun Learning Dust all over their tables today! Ok probably not all over since it is green glitter and that would get messy haha!
DeleteHappy happy birthday!!!!
ReplyDeleteHooray! Happy Birthday :) I have named my leprechaun Patty Cloverhopper this year...lol. I will have to send you the poem that I wrote for my St Patrick's Day unit. I can't wait for the kids to find it. You are way nicer than me to do a couple days of shenanigans. I am just going to put it all in one fun filled morning :)
