Five for Friday...On Saturday...again

One of these weeks I will get this finished on a Friday!  I am linking up with Kacey from Doodle Bugs for her Five for Friday Linky!

1.  Spring is here which means new artwork goes on our walls!  We did a couple cute rainbow projects this week!  For the first one we watched this video to learn the order of the colors!

Then, we painted!  I put one color on each of my 6 tables and we rotated so we could get all the colors!  It was a fun project!  We colored strips of paper to put on the bottom of our work!

2.  The next project we made was a giant rainbow.  Each table was given a color and they had to cut up little pieces of paper to glue onto their part of the rainbow!

3. My fabulous bloggy friend, Brittany, from Lovely Literacy & More sent me these cute sight word books!  We started spelling tests a few weeks ago so we did a couple of books from our spelling list!  Thanks Brittany!  We love them!

4.  Thursday we went to the Children's Museum!  I love this field trip because the kids can just explore!  Field trips can be so stressful but not this one!  Here my kiddo are making their own paper!  Awesome!

5.  Now for a super random one!  I was looking for my Spring decorations for my classroom and I found window clings that I bought last year!  And LOOK!  Live, Laugh, LOVE!  I am obsessed with that saying!  Our house is full of Live, Laugh, Love things! :)

If you haven't linked up, go link up!  I can't wait to see hear about your week!

Don't forget to hippity hop, hop through this blog hop! So many freebies and a giveaway at the end!!

  1. One of these days I'll actually post on Friday too! :) I LOVE the children's museum, it's my favorite field trip place. My favorite part of our museum is the bubble room!

  3. I love They Might Be Giants! Great videos!

I usually manage to get my Five for Friday up late Friday night, but only because I work on it some during the week. When I think of something that want to put in the post, I start the blog post, type it in and save it without publishing it. When I get home on Friday, I polish it up, add a photo or two and publish! It has made it so much easier!

  6. Cute rainbow! With spring way out of sight, next week my kiddos are going to make rainbow mobiles (or something of that sort) b/c the classroom just feels so BLAH! If spring isn't coming soon, we can at least make it feel like spring in the meantime!

    1. I can't wait to see your rainbows! I agree! Might as well make Spring happen inside if it won't happen outside!

  7. I love the rainbows made from snips of paper. And you clever clever girl you! I never thought of using the books to reinforce words for spelling tests. What a brilliant idea! Thanks for the shout out :) I am glad they got more use out of them. You could also cut them half to make as a booklet so the kiddos feel like they have more pages to their books, but it just depends on your kiddos. I also gave you a shout out with my giveaway I posted just now.

    1. Thanks! I know once I saw them I was like perfect! I was going to have them cut them into little booklets but we ran out of time that day! I plan on having them cut them next time! They love when they are little! :)
