Constellation Fun and a Super Bowl Sale

Alright you are going to think I am crazy but I gave my kiddos tacks to use today for our constellation project.  I started with clear rules...the tack is only used on the paper or I will take it away!  The kiddos were excited to start after I showed them how to make them!  We sat in a circle and first thought about what we wanted our constellation to look like and then once all the supplies were passed out they were off creating!  Check out their creations!

This little one made a dinosaur and couldn't stop talking about it!  He was so proud! I ended up letting them do two so we could hang one up on the window and then they could take one home!

They looked amazing on the window!  The kiddos were in aw of them and so was I! :)

Tomorrow is the last day! ENTER!!:)

Did you hear about this!?  Update that wishlist!!

I will have all my products on sale! These are some of my newest faves!

  1. The window! Genius! Last time I glued them to yellow paper- what a pain! I'm so on this! Thanks for the great idea!

  3. Your constellations are adorable! Giving kids tacks is definitely risky, but laying down those rules first does make a huge difference!

  4. Love your constellation idea! I wouldn't be allowed to use tacks because of the safety regulations, but I LOVE how they turned out! (I wonder if some less sharp object would be able to punch through construction paper... hmmm... toothpicks???)

    1. Thanks! I was watching them like a hawk but they were so responsible and so into it I worried for nothing! I bet toothpicks would work too!

    2. Girl, I tried toothpicks for a different "hole punching" activity and it was awful. They were breaking left and right and my kids became super irritating! Ha :) what about those old plastic sewing needles?

  5. I am in LOVE with those constellations. Can't wait to do this during our space lessons. Last year I had them just use little star stickers and randomly put them on the page. Then they had to try to connect the stars to make some sort of recognizable shape. Your idea is way more fun and I think with clear directions the pins should be fine :) thanks for sharing and for linking up!! Love it!
