I was at the happiest place on Earth...Target and found that everything was on clearance.  OK, I didn't know everything was on clearance, but before I checked out I thought I would be spending like $7.  BUT to my surprise I got all of these goodies for $2!  I wanted to add some musical instruments to my classroom and I think I am going back to buy enough for a whole class!  You can't beat 30 cents!

I teach summer school and next week my class theme is "Reading Rocks with our Favorite Cats"!  The whole week we will be reading books about Pete and Splat, and of course doing lots of fun activities.  I am going to do a Color Word Scramble.  I printed and laminated Pete's shoes, then wrote a color word on one shoe and then scrambled the word on the other shoe.  I think I am going to have two teams and have the teams unscramble the word, then find the color word which will be hidden in the room.
