Have I ever mentioned that my kids LOVE emergent reader books!? Especially when they get to color them or cut out pictures to add to them! Today we did a new winter themed emergent reader- "Skating Penguins", which can be found in my Let it Snow pack! Before we colored the book we read "Penguin's Skating Party", which I just happened to come across when I was looking through my winter books. It was an absolutely perfect book to go along with our little emergent reader book!
After we read "Penguin's Skating Party", we colored the penguins in our emergent reader book and then read our new book all together!
