Learn to Read: Activity Idea 3

I am sharing activity number 3 to use with my book, Learn to Read: Sight Words Storybook!

These activities use the words in story 3!  I wrote the words 'a' and 'little' on small pieces of construction paper.

Then, we sorted by each word.  We said each word as we sorted!

A great thing to try after this activity is to put the words "A little..." together and finish the sentence to match the story in the book!

I wanted to share the LAST page in this book to show you how the pattern changes on that final page.  This is a great way to assess how your kiddo is tracking the words as they read.  This story ends with a different pattern, but each new word is a CVC word so it is easy to sound out!
