To start off our week, I had the kiddos in my class make a Cat in the Hat watercolor painting. They turned out so cute. We turned them into a Cat in the Hat rhyming poster.
Each kiddo wrote rhyming words in white crayons, then painted over it to make it show up. We cut out our cats and words then glued them to a piece of big construction paper!
Another fun game we played was pin the green eggs on the ham! Each kiddo made their own egg and everyone got a chance to pin tape it to the plate of green ham. Before a kiddo got to come up with their egg they had to spell a word that I picked out from the book, Green Eggs and Ham. I wanted to put a literacy spin on it and figured why not have to earn your turn by spelling. Of course if a kiddo couldn't spell a word we picked a new word.
I have more activities and another whole class I can talk about, but lets get on to the good stuff...A GIVEAWAY!
