Flowers

We are learning about plants in science for the next couple of weeks!  To introduce this topic, I made a giant flower and asked my kiddos what a flower or plant needs to grow!  This was great to see what they knew and kept them so engaged to see what I was going to pull out next to make our "flower" grow!  I made everything out of construction paper and after I made it I realized it was huge and I did not have wall space for it...opps, so we just did it on the floor!  It works because then the kiddos can have fun labeling it later on!  Check it out!

Rain cloud!  Ignore the fact that the flower is 20 times bigger than the cloud!

Tomorrow we have Junior Achievement!   I remember doing it when I was in 5th grade, so we'll see how it goes tomorrow with my kinders!

  1. I love the idea of adding the plant parts as you talk about them.
