Goblins, Ghosts, GOOGLEY EYED PUMPKINS

The day has finally come, I jumped on the bandwagon and started a blog! Never in a million years did I think I could even do it, but with the inspiration of a fellow teacher, here I am! I am still trying to figure out everything, but I just couldn't wait to write my first post.

Alright, let’s just get right to it. Halloween is seriously right around the corner, so my kinders are busy bees working on anything pumpkin! Our latest activity was the cutest googley eyed jack o’ lanterns. We started our activity with a problem…Mrs. K only had yellow and red paint! My kiddos figured out that problem real quick, MIX THEM! Once we made our orange paint it was time to paint our pumpkins. Each student was given a pumpkin cutout, which can be found here. They painted them and we let them dry. Once they were dry I gave each student a piece of white paper to draw two circles on. These we would use for the eyes. They cut them out and made black circles in the middle for the googley part of their eyes. After they were glued on, they used a marker to make a silly smile and a cute little nose! They turned out adorable! We hung them in the hall to create our very own Kindergarten Jack o’ Lantern patch!
